Summary: 

This qualification aims to equip practising and potential team leaders and first line managers with the knowledge, skills and confidence to perform effectively as workplace coaches as part of their normal work role; and in addition to equip them to possibly move into a development role within their organisations or as a freelance workplace coach.

Entry requirements: 

None although you woul normally be expected to be a practising team leader, first line manager or coach.

Full Description: 

For this qualification you will study the following Units:

D3.01 Understanding good practice in workplace coaching
D3.02 Organising workplace coaching
D3.03 Undertaking supervised coaching in the workplace
D3.04 Undertaking an extended period of supervised coaching in the workplace

Within 4 weeks of completing the programme, you will submit your assessment consisting of a

• Work-based Assignment
• Coaching Diary
• Personal Development Plan and Reflective Log.

Candidates who have successfully completed the ILM L3 Award in Workplace Coaching for Team Leaders and First Line Managers are fully exempt from Units D3.01, D3.02 and D3.03.

After the course: 

Candidates who have completed the ILM Level 3 Award in Workplace Coaching for Team Leaders and First Line Managers may progress to the ILM Level 3 Certificate for Professional Workplace Coaches, or to the ILM Level 5 Certificate in Coaching and Mentoring in Management, or the ILM L5 Diploma for Professional Management Coaches and Mentors.
