Fire is a major hazard in most workplaces, and as a requirement of the Regulatory reform (Fire safety) Order 2005 all employees must recieve training in fire safety awareness and for certain persons this should extend to Responsible person/Fire marshal training.

Course Objectives: To Provide delegates with an awareness of basic fire safety.

Course target delegates: Responsible Person/Fire Marshal

Delegates will gain an understanding of:-

Fire safety statistics.
Fire regulaions
How fire starts.
The fire triangle.
Fire classification types.
Fire Prevention guidelines for each classification type
Fire protection.
What to do in the event of fire.
Effects of smoke.
Fire fighting principles.
Extinguisher types.
How to use an extinguisher.
Signs and mustering plans
Liaising with the emergency services.

Delegates will complete a multi choice test paper and practical assessment to demonstrate their understanding.
