Display Screen Equipment Safety/ Workstation ergonomics
As a requirement of the Health & Safety (Display Screen Equipment) regulations 1992 any person who regularly uses display screen (VDU) equipment, must receive adequate training in the use of any workstation upon which they may be required to work.
Course duration: 1/2 day (4 hrs)
Course objectives: Display Screen Equipment Safety Awareness.
Course target delegates: Persons who make regular use of Display Screen Equipment at work.
Delegates will gain an understanding of:-
W.R.U.L.D's (Work Related Upper Limb Disorders), their causes and symptoms.
Impact of W.R.U.L.D's.
Legislation and regulatory duties.
Common problem areas.
Workstation assessment.
Workstation ergonomics.
Adjustment and selection of key components.
Posture and seating adjustment.
Assessment techniques.
Practical application of ergonomics.
Delegates will complete a multi choice test paper and practical assessment to demonstrate their understanding.
After completion, delegates will receive a certificate of attendance and set of D.S.E. assessment guidance notes.
