Summary: 

This course provides a good introduction to trade skills and good practice as well as improving your skill level. You will receive expert tuition from one of the most experienced and competent teaching teams in the Eastern Region and the
opportunity to take a Health & Safety test to progress towards obtaining a Basic Site Operative CSCS Card or Site Visitors Card. You will also be provided with full PPE for the construction activities carried out during training and assistance with applications for Health & Safety Tests and CSCS cards.

Entry requirements: 

No previous qualifications required. However, you will need full commitment to the practical awareness and Health and Safety rules surrounding the Construction Industry.

ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION

  • Develop your awareness of the Construction Industry by completing assessment activities in 3 separate trade disciplines: Brickwork, Carpentry & Joinery and Painting & Decorating
  • Develop sufficient understanding and awareness of the minimum Health & Safety
  • requirements enabling you to work on a construction site.
  • Develop sufficient understanding to complete the CSCS Health & Safety Test.
  • Apply for a Site Operative CSCS Card or Site Visitor Card
