Apprenticeships
An apprenticeship is still the best way to becoming a construction craft operative. It enables you to learn, and work, earn and get qualified all at the same time, by combining college training with on site experience. This course is suitable for those who want to gain a construction qualification whilst earning while they learn.
An apprenticeship framework is based around an NVQ (National Vocational Qualification). These qualifications are developed and approved, and are designed to measure your practical skills and job knowledge by assessing your work on-site.
The apprenticeship programme is designed to help you prepare for a career on site, and to ensure you get the right qualification to get into the construction industry, including qualifying for the appropriate card scheme. Your employer may also be able to claim a grant of up to £9,400 to support you through a 3 year apprenticeship.
