Access to HE Social Sciences
The main aim of this course is to allow you to gain the confidence to lead you into university or to areas such as nursing, midwifery and social work. The main subjects are psychology and sociology. The course will commence with a short introductory module of 8 weeks (a nominal charge will be made), which will give students the opportunity to develop the study skills necessary to continue with the access programme.
You do not need any formal entrance qualifications to apply but you should have a sufficient standard of written English to cope with the demands of the course. The only real qualifications required are determination and a commitment to home study. A discussion with the course leader will explore if you have the necessary skills
